Uncanny Horoscopes

There are times when we all get the urge to read our horoscopes and marvel at the silliness of them. We know they are not real and that you can read more into them and get what you want out of them.

But every so often you'll think of something to do on a specific day and plan for it. Then the mood strikes you to look at your horoscope for that day and low and behold right there before your eyes is the plan that you just thought of doing for that day. Uncanny.

Uncanny is the universe's middle name sometimes. And while we here on Earth know that horoscopes are just randomly generated little blurbs we use to make ourselves feel better; when they're spot on for an event or action we do, it makes you wonder.

For those of you that don't believe in horoscopes I recommend not reading yours until the end of the day. After you've gotten up, gone to work, performed your menial tasks of that day, spent time with friends and family; then find your horoscope and read it before bed. See if any of it mimicks how you spent your time that day. It's a fun exercise to let you remember what it was like when you were a child and still had an imagination.

The world through a child's imagination is full of wonder and possibilities and hope. As an adult you lose sight of that behind "growing up, setting goals, living within rules and conformity." This is all well and good but every now and again you need to think like a child and relish your imagination. It restores hope for something greater in the universe and replinishes the mystery of living.

So read your horoscope, laugh at it, and let it stimulate your wonder.

For those of you who are like me in having the horoscope be spot on when you decide to paint your house or look for a new job but can't decide on what to do with your life...be marvelled, have some coffee and good luck with that...it's not easy having the uncanny universe speak to you so directly.
